Our family has participated in the annual Walk for Autism in honor of our son and brother, Garrett, for the past 14 years.  Garrett has brought so many blessings to our lives.  

We are proud of Garrett's achievements. He is a senior this year and working a job in the Tool and Die industry. Garrett also received his driver's license a few months ago.  We were so happy Garrett had the opportunity to participate in Drive to Success through the Autism Society NWPA.

Garrett is participating in the new Skills to Pay the Bills therapeutic job skills program this spring.  We are thankful for all the Autism Society NWPA has done and does to help Garrett reach his full potential.

LOCATION: Lake Erie Speedway – 10700 Delmas Drive NORTH EAST

A two-mile walk is held to increase awareness of Autism, fund programming, and activities for individuals with Autism in our community. 100% of the proceeds stay in our local area.

Why is it important to participate? Our Annual Walk for Autism is the Autism Society NWPA’s largest event of the year. The Walk gives us the ability to provide support throughout the year including our Family Sensory & Social Outings, Family Support Activities and Education, and Therapeutic programming across the lifespan. We are excited to be hosting our Annual Walk for Autism in 2023 this annual empowering, fun, family event! We are asking YOU and your fellow community members to register, donate, and join us on April 29, 2023, to make this the BEST Walk ever.

Youth (age 0 – 9) walk for free

– $10.00 optional YOUTH 2023 commemorative Walk t-shirt – pre-order only by the pre-registration deadline of April 1, 2023. *Anyone aged 0-9 who would like an ADULT SIZE shirt needs to register as a TWEEN Walker.

2023 Commemorative Walk t-shirt, long sleeve, or hoodies – pre-registered walkers (deadline APRIL 1, 2023) will receive one commemorative 2023 shirt (selected at registration). Walk registrations will be accepted after the April 1, 2023 deadline but will not receive the 2023 Commemorative Walk apparel option. Limited vintage Walk t-shirts will be available.

On-site registration will be available at the Walk on April 29, 2023, but will not include the 2023 Commemorative Walk apparel options. Limited vintage Walk t-shirts will be available for on-site registration only.
