was created back in 2014. We have raised $26,821 over the last 5 years. Special thank you to our family we call friends, sponsors, family, volunteers and great friends who have helped us every step of the way and make Bowling for Autism for Team Keagan so successful.

Keagan is a bright and beautiful 9-year-old little boy who is on the Autism Spectrum. Keagan's challenges began about 8 years ago, after a difficult pregnancy. He was born on March 22, 2011, just 3 days after his mother's baby shower, where her water broke. Coincidently her baby shower was being celebrated in the conference room, at the hospital where Keagan was born. Keagan was diagnosed with severe Autism at just 2 years of age, and upon further evaluation, he was also diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, Global developmental delay, Communication disorder, Sleep Apnea, Gastrointestinal Reflux, immune deficiency, wandering, severe allergies, Asthma and Tracheomalacia, or restricted airway. Keagan uses a nova chat to communicate as he remains nonverbal to this day. Keagan has had more surgeries and medical procedures then we can count. Keagan attends the Elizabeth Lee Black School at the Barber National Institute where he is flourishing.

Walk for Autism for Team Keagan is to promote Autism Awareness in the Northwestern PA. Its is a virtual Walk this year due to the COVID-19. You can take photos starting April 25th - June 6th 2020 with your favorite gear or Autism Gear and post on the Bridge the Distance /19th Annual Walk for Autism.

5th Annual Bowling for Team Keagan has been postponed to a later date due to the pandemic. We have to follow state and government guidelines and with us no aloud to have 100 capacity in the bowling alley until we will have the event. Please be assured that the safety and health of everyone is our highest priority at this time. Thank you for your understanding and safety.

What is the virtual Walk for Autism?  A “Virtual Walk” is a real walk, but on your terms: you select the location, what time you start, and who walks next to you (6’ apart)! We encourage you to wear your favorite vintage Autism Walk t-shirt or favorite autism tee and share a photo on social media. We would like you to share a picture, story, or video of your family/supports with your Autism Society NWPA Vintage Walk tees or favorite autism tees or make new ones as a family project!

Show us how you created “your” walk in support of the 19th Annual Walk for Autism virtually. Post to Bridge the Distance | 19th Annual Walk for Autism Facebook page and/or tag “Autism Society – Northwestern Pennsylvania” and #AutismNWPA

What is Bridge the Distance | Virtual Campaign?  Autism Society NWPA is launching a virtual campaign to help motivate our teams, community, and provide a platform for sharing. We are launching Bridge the Distance to keep us connected until the 19^th Annual Walk for Autism | Virtual Event on Saturday, June 6, 2020.

Walk Registration Information:  PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE MAY 12, 2020

Adult Walkers (age 15 & up) | $20 per walker includes adult size commemorative Walk t-shirt (guaranteed by the pre-registration deadline May 12, 2020)

Tween Walkers (age 10-14) | $10 per walker includes adult size commemorative Walk t-shirt (guaranteed by the pre-registration deadline May 12, 2020)

Youth Walkers (age 0-9) | FREE

Youth Size T-shirts (optional) | $8.00 per youth size commemorative Walk t-shirt.  Commemorative YOUTH t-shirts for walkers age 0-9 may be reserved and WILL NOT be available for purchase at the Walk, no exceptions.  Please include $8 per youth shirt reserved.  Deadline: May 12, 2020. *Anyone age 0-9 who would like an ADULT SIZE shirt must register as a Tween Walker.
